Remember this cute book?
Well we didn't see the lady or the purse, but we did see our first alligator of the season. And a full-blown sighting it was! Most of the time we just see the eyes and snout sticking out of the water, but this guy (probably 7 or 8 feet long) wasn't afraid to show off his big leathery body and appeared to be enjoying the sunshine.
