Inspired by Julie Zickefoose's Virtual Garden Tour, I thought I'd post of few photos of what we have growing around here...

These are lovely photos Susan! Do you know what they are? Thought you might be interested in my blog. I'm eeking out my photos very slowly so as to create a bit of anticipation. I'm going to link your site to mine cos my viewers might like these specially. Take a visit. When someone identifies my beauties I will post more info as to where I took the shots.

I keep coming back to look at these pretty pics.

Do you know what any of them are?

No, I'm sorry I don't know what any of them are - one of these days I'll do a little research. In college a long time ago, I took an intensive field biology course and I think I learned every plant and fungus that grew in the Adirondack mountains (upstate NY). Of course I remember none of it now, and I suspect the mushrooms of NC differ a lot from mushrooms of upstate NY anyway.

We get these funny white mushrooms that grow when the weather is very wet, but nothing so pretty as these!

There's also the yucky fungi that grow on the mulch on the garden beds - gross!
