That's so much more descriptive than "Belted Galloways"! I've seen them in the Bruce Peninsula. They are a variety of the Galloway that was developed by breeding with Dutch Belted cattle. Some say they were left here (in Newfoundland?) by the Norse; others that they were taken to the U.S. in the 1950s. They are striking.
Or maybe they are Dutch Belted?
