Sleepy Hollow

Notice the cobwebs across the entrance. Empty for the past two years, but that's now how it used to be. For four years in a row a pair of bluebirds raised multiple clutches in this house. It hangs from a shepherd's hook on our deck and we loved watching the parents and the babies. Maybe it's our shabby duct tape repair job on the roof that caused them to move to the Frank Newell bluebird house down by the lake.

Looks so cozy - too bad they've moved elsewhere.

Are you sure some house sparrows didn't bully your bluebirds away?
